The 18-hole Nicklaus Designed Course at Marriott's Bay Point Resort in Panama City, Florida is a resort golf course that opened in 1986. Designed by Bruce Devlin initially and known as Lagoon Legend until 2005, it went through a redesign starting 2004 and is now known as The Nicklaus Course. It reopened September 2005 and is the first and only Nicklaus Design in Northwest Florida.
The redesign consisted of a complete renovation including the re-building of the tees, bunkers, and greens, as well as re-contouring of the fairways. This par-72 championship-caliber course measures over 7,100 yards.
